Professor Acharya Elected to Fellowship at Oxford College

On 28 November 2012, the Governing Body of St Catherine's College, Oxford, elected Professor Amitav Acharya to Christensen Fellowship for the Trinity Term 2013. Christensen Fellowships are awarded to distinguished academic visitors who are members of their national academy – equivalent to the Royal Society and the British Academy in the UK – or likely to attain that standard if at an earlier stage in their academic career. Founded in 1962, St Catherine's College prides itself as “Oxford's youngest mixed (undergraduate and graduate) college and also one of its largest and most diverse communities.” (http://www.stcatz.ox.ac.uk) As a Christensen Fellow, Professor Acharya will work on the topic of “Emerging Powers and Global Governance”, which is intended to lead to a monograph and several journal articles and book chapters.
